Responsibilities You will serve as the IT Operations Branch Head (Code 1041) and senior advisor to the CIO for IT Operations. You will be responsible for the management and direction of a team of IT professionals who are responsible for providing information technology and cybersecurity products and services to the Enterprise. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the network infrastructure for all Command sites, as a full suite of enterprise tools to support administrative of servers and workstations. You will work with the Enterprise on initiatives to improve the overall customer experience with enterprise, enterprise tools, services and emerging technologies. You will plan, organize, assign and direct new and on-going work. You will evaluate subordinate's work; resolve work problems; establish goals and priorities within established project goals and other parameters. You may serve as lab owner and give expert advice to management on technical issues; provide customer support, guidance, and recommendations on a wide variety of IT issues affecting network and Infrastructure operations. You will actively participate on Enterprise level working groups and knowledge share/gain across the Enterprise to achieve the desired corporate level goals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: dealing with the following evaluating network infrastructure, service delivery, and providing technical input to service providers; technical expertise and leadership in one or more of the following IT areas: Windows Domain, Linux administration, networking infrastructure, WAN connections, and remote site VPNs; shared services and cloud-based architectures, high performance computing and big data analytics platforms. Education Additional Information This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
