Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPV ITSPEC (CUSTOMER SUPPORT/INFOSEC), Position Description Number T5821300 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. This position is indefinite without the potential to convert to permanent. Employees hired under indefinite appointments may not exceed 5 years (consecutive) time with the agency. Responsibilities As a SUPV IT SPEC (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC), GS-2210-12, you will perform a full range of supervisory functions providing administrative control and technical direction and oversight for subordinate personnel. Responsible for oversight of all functions in the Information Systems Branch. Performs oversight of the Unit COMSEC program. Ensures viable training programs exist for all assigned network systems and Information Assurance (IA) programs and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience directing an organization of technical and administrative specialists. Assessing and ensuring. Experience with compliance, supportability and planning for a wide variety of programs and operations including but not limited to multimedia, quality control, software test analysis, communications security, help desks, network control center, and computer systems operations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Education Education requirements - Not applicable for this position Additional Information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)). This position conducts information assurance functions. The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain and maintain certification. Certification requirements are outlined in DoD Instruction 8570.01-M
