Regional Maintenance South Supervisor
Air Products and Chemicals is pursuing filling a Maintenance Supervisor position for our IG South Subregion. The Regional Maintenance South Supervisor will be responsible to oversee and provide technical direction for all maintenance activities across multiple sites in the Industrial Gases (IG) Southeastern United States. The Supervisor will work closely with Operations, Engineering, and technical teams, with a focus on driving consistency in maintenance activities. This includes improving execution efficiency, utilizing effective maintenance tools and methodologies, and developing talent. The expectation of the IG South Subregion Maintenance Supervisor is to improve plant reliability, increase uptime, and decrease costs in direct support of the Business Area. This position reports to the IG South Subregion Maintenance Manager. Travel (~25%) within the region will be expected.

Collaborate with Operations, Line and Plant Management to establish the Fiscal Year Maintenance BudgetDevelop the maintenance expense and capital long term strategic plan for assigned plants.Accountable for the major maintenance spending of assigned plants.Approve and appropriately allocate (expense vs. capital) all major maintenance spending.Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting of Major and Routine maintenance spending, as well as plant capital spending.Responsible for outage budgeting and spending results.Leadership
Streamline process for collaborating with site teams on outage planning, including ownership of some parts of the process.Champion the consistent use of maintenance systems including budgeting and forecasting tools, SAP, outage planning, and resource scheduling.Plant Support / Coordination
24/7 availability for operational emergenciesProvide or resource the necessary technical skills to support each activity.Actively drive resolution to technical problems including scheduling meetings and interfacing with engineering teamsIdentify and resolve systemic plant maintenance problems.Initiate and drive improvement projects.Locate and develop regional contractors for plant support.Identification and delivery of maintenance training needs for plant and staff.Provide ongoing optimization of preventive maintenance and predictive analysis programs.Coordination with Materials Management and support refurbishment activities on complex spare parts.Travel within the Primary and IG South Region as necessary.Key Job Responsibilities:
Actively lead maintenance activities and provide input for the Mechanical Specialist’s schedule. Provide oversight of the overall Maintenance Process and help coordinate activities across multiple locations within the IG South Subregion.Work closely with Engineering, Projects, Plant Personnel, Line Management, and Technical Teams with a focus on driving consistency in maintenance activities.Improve job execution efficiency by utilizing effective maintenance tools, CMMS Program through SAP, and Coordination with other teams within the PRO’s Organization.Work closely with the Electronic Condition Monitoring (ECM) Team to proactively monitor machine health.Use KPIs to monitor BAD ACTORS so that Expense and Capital Budgeting can effectively be executed across the region.Apply appropriate maintenance techniques, inspections, PdM, and PM’s to realize the full life expectancy of equipment.This is a safety sensitive position.Minimum Hiring Requirements:
Candidate must possess a strong safety focus and background.SAP (Proficiency Required)8+ years in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment with maintenance, operations or outage execution experience is desired.Degree in a technical trade school for instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, or military technical training is a plus. Related engineering degrees are also a plus. Relative experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.High school diploma or equivalent.Strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, communication stills and business acumen.Strong organizational planning skills with the ability to set priorities.Strong working knowledge of operating plant systems including Maintenance, Machinery, Electrical, and Instrumentation.Broad technical familiarity with motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, cooling towers, pressure vessels, and piping systems.Work Hours
