\n\nJOB SUMMARY
\nThe Supervisor of Non-Invasive Cardiology plans, organizes, and directs operational and financial activities of Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. Develops, recommends and implements policies, procedures, goals and targets. Develops, recommends, implements and monitors capital and operating budgets. Supervises assigned staff.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nPlans, organizes and directs operational and financial activities of Non-Invasive Cardiology Department.\nOversees staff engaged in non-invasive diagnostic testing for patients.\nOrganizes laboratory staff and equipment to maximize efficiency.\nDevelops, recommends and implements policies, procedures, goals and targets for department.\nEnsures compliance with applicable standards of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and other regulatory requirements. Initiates corrective action as needed.\nAssesses patient needs for appropriate testing methodology.\nContacts Physician to discuss any necessary changes in prescribed testing procedures.\nCoordinates scheduling of Laboratory procedures with Physicians.\nPerforms non-invasive tests to establish diagnosis as ordered by referring physician.\nExplains test procedure to patient and family.\nEstablishes appropriate positioning of patient and equipment to obtain graphic responses, and moves and positions patient.\nOperates variety of specialized equipment to perform tests. Prepares test results and graphs for interpreting Physician evaluation.\nProvides preliminary interpretation of test results to referring Physician.\nInterviews, hires, trains, counsels and evaluates staff, and recommends termination when necessary.\nEstablishes staffing needs and scheduling requirements, and coordinates with staff members, Physicians, and other departments as necessary.\nDevelops and implements in-service training and educational programs for staff.\nDevelops, recommends, implement, and monitors capital and operating budgets for assigned departments.\nMonitors expenses and explain variances. Prepares and examines various statistical and financial reports for internal and external use.\nEnsures proper operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities.\nDirects, develops and performs research projects.\nDirects continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to better serve customer needs and improve quality of services.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nKnowledge and ability to apply complex invasive cardiac and vascular values, instrumentation and techniques.\nKnowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule; including early morning hours, and evening hours.\nHave a personal interest in primary and secondary cardiac prevention and promote a positive image in the community to market health promotion.\nBasic medical terminology knowledge pertaining to heart disease.\nMust exhibit exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nBasic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry.\n\nBENEFITS

\n\n\n\t Basic Life Support (BLS)\n\n\n\n\n\n\t ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N), Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Reg Diag Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Tech (RVT): Must have at least ONE of the following: Cert from the Amer Registry for Diagnostic Med Sonography(ARDMS),\n\n\n
