SUPV Nursing (RN) - Medical Imaging

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Medical Imaging is accountable for planning and oversight of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine nursing staff activities related to patient care, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to fiscal budget, policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Works collaboratively with Medical Imaging Supervisors and others at all levels of the organization to create an environment of excellence, trust and continual learning. Must be informed and maintain generalist nursing skill proficiency/competency in all aspects of clinical nurse responsibilities in an outpatient setting. The RN Supervisor is responsible for providing direct patient care by applying special clinical nursing knowledge and skills related to the Medical Imaging setting.  He or she will ensure the safety and comfort of patient and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.  Scope of responsibility will include oversight of multiple departments/locations and/or high degree of patient complexity.

Job Type: Full Time 


Salary Range: $97,010 - $119,836 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

 

Qualifications


Education


Required: RN from accredited nursing program.

 

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or four years supervisory/management experience (4 years).


Preferred: Master’s degree in nursing or related field.


Experience


Required: 5 years of Clinical RN or Radiology experience with at least 3 years progressive leadership 

 

experience.


Preferred: ICU experience


License(s)


Required: Active, current Texas RN license.


Preferred: N/A


Special Skills


Required: ACLS (within 3 months), BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider), PALS (within 6 months). 

 

Proficient keyboarding and basic computer skills.


Preferred: Specialty nursing certification appropriate to Radiology. 

 

CPR Instructor, refined public relations, verbal and written expertise. 

 

Windows bases computer skills


Other 


Required: Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. 

 

Able to use mechanical devices, such as those used in CPR, oxygen administration and intravenous therapy.


Preferred: Experience with EPIC system.
