**Job Title: Surface Grinder** A surface grinder operator is responsible for setting up and operating surface grinding machines to produce precision flat or contoured surfaces on metal workpieces. Here are some key duties and requirements typically found in a surface grinder job description: **Key Duties:** 1. **Setup and Operation:** + Set up and operate surface grinding machines with horizontal or vertical spindles. + Position and secure workpieces on the machine table using magnetic chucks or holding fixtures. + Select and mount appropriate grinding wheels based on the material and specifications. 1. **Grinding Process:** + Adjust machine settings, including rotation speeds and feed rates. + Dress grinding wheels to maintain their shape and efficiency. + Monitor the grinding process, ensuring the flow of coolant to prevent overheating. **Why Work Here?** This position offers full-time work with ample opportunities for overtime in a stable manufacturing facility.
