Summary This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D1290000 and is part of the NJ FMS 5, National Guard. Responsibilities As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-5801-10, you will: Plan and establish overall leave schedules Ensure the employees wear appropriate safety equipment Redirect individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes Prepare and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, and command support exercises Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.
