Full time surgery scheduler performs cheduling, prior atuhorizantion and routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned office.
Responsible for scheduling surgeries, confirming procedures with pre-authorization, insurance verification and admissions.
Responsible for organizing and communication of surgery schedule. Notifies all those involved of changes, emergencies and add on procedures.
Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including reception, scheduling, patient registration, and assisting provider.
Requires prior physician office or business office experience.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
