The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking a full-time Surgical Technician to join the team! This position plays a vital role in performing veterinary technician duties for the Senior Director of Veterinary Services. Responsibilities for this position are but not limited to: + Cleaning and sanitation of the surgical area + Entering data pertaining to surgical procedures of both in and outpatients + Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and modeling safe work practices. + Ensure all animals are properly cared for including administering anesthesia, monitoring animals pre, intra, and post operatively + Other Duties as assigned Education & Work Experience + High School diploma or GED, required + Veterinary Technician Certification or equivalent work experience, required. + 3 years of experience in animal care and handling, required.
