JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.

Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Surgery Technician under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and attending Surgeon, is responsible for the cared and safety of patients who come under his/her care. The Surgery Technician performs scrub assistance duties during operative procedures under the guidance of the Surgeon. The Surgery Technician is also responsible for applying principles of aseptic technique. Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment and supplies for procedures.

High School Graduate or equivalentPrevious hospital experience preferredBasic Computer SkillsCertified Surgical Technician (CST)Current BLS Certification

Pay Range: $21.74 - $29.21 hourly

**Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
