Surgical Assistant Qualifications:

Virginia Surgical Assistant License/Registration REQUIREDNational Certification REQUIREDCompletion of Surgical Assistant program REQUIREDPRIOR SA experience STRONGLY PREFERRED

The cardiothoracic operating room is part of the surgical services team that treat open-heart (cardiothoracic) patients.  We are made up of five operating rooms which includes a hybrid OR.  We handle 8+ OR cases daily.
