Surgical Center X-Ray Technologist

Description

Operate C-Arm in a sterile environment in the operating room at a multi-specialty ASC.Follow instructions from Physicians intraoperatively regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging in the Operating RoomCorrectly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified positionPrevent unnecessary radiation exposure to the patient, staff, and themselves.Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.Order and Upload imaging via EMR and PACSMaintain a safe and clean working environment.Positions patient on examining table and adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of body requested by physician.Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.Moves x-ray equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.Obtain patient’s pertinent history.Maintain OSHA regulations.Will assist with film quality control.

Requirements & Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be AART registered or eligible also IDNS licensed.CPR certification6 months-2 years related experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60195.00 - $80912.00/yr.
