TheSurgical Clinical Managerwill be a resource to the Surgery, HF ECMO Commercial Leadership Team to facilitate communication throughout the commercial team. The Surgical Clinical Manager will represent the Surgical Clinical Team as needed in leadership meetings, special initiatives, strategic and tactical operations ensuring business results and highest regard for patient care and outcomes. Understands, articulates, and supports the organization’s mission, vision, goals, and strategies and possesses the ability to translate them effectively to the Surgical Clinical team and throughout the organization. Additionally, the Surgical Clinical Manager will ensure the culture of Abiomed is upheld in the field organization. This position reports directly to the Surgical Sale Director.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
·Recruit, hire, and train the expanding ASC build-out by responsible zone.
·Ensure employee and customer competency through the development, retention, and performance management of the ASC team within Surgical Zone.
·Build Quarterly and Annual strategic plan to ensure alignment with Sales and Revenue goals.
·Ensure ASC team effectiveness through 1:1 coaching, training, and field travel.
·Collaborate with Training team to develop and execute clinical competency pathway for ASC’s and SAM’s with in-field assessment and validation.
·Collaborate with Training Team and Product Managers on internal and external content trainings related to the Surgery, HF, ECMO platforms.
·Clinical liaison in targeted accounts to develop site specific plan to drive grow in collaboration with the Surgery Sales Team.
·Lead and execute after action reviews with clinical teams and customers.
·Ensure the application of best practices and ABIOMED clinical training regarding patient care for patients placed on support to optimize outcomes customer experience. Manage and support patient implant coverage and customer communication as needed.
·Attend and staff major and regional Surgery, Heart Failure, and ECMO conferences (ISHLT, STS, AATS, ASAIO, AHA).

·7 years of experience in Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiac Surgery, and MCS.
·5 years of supervisory/management experience preferred or related Abiomed/MCS experience.
·2 years of experience as an Advanced Surgical Consultant required/preferred.
·Ability to travel 50% - 70% on a regular basis within the assigned Surgical Zone to meet with ASC team and with customers required. Overnight travel as needed.
·Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry required.
·A valid driver's license issued in the United States.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $135,000
The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Undercurrent guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.§Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
§Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
