Surgical Coordinator, UHS Wilson Square United Health Services is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to join our Surgery 02 department at UHS Wilson Square in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift Day Hours per week: 40 Salary range: $17.19 - $24.42 per hour, depending on experience. Overview Under the direction of the medical providers, this position’s primary function is to schedule surgical procedures. The responsibilities of the Surgical Scheduler include: scheduling surgical procedure in ORSOS, scheduling all pre- and post-operative appointments and obtaining authorization. The Surgical Scheduler works closely with the clinical team, medical providers and hospital staff to provide timely care for our patients. Qualifications Education/Experience Minimum Required: + High School Graduate or equivalent + Two (2) years experience working in healthcare + Two (2) years experience working in customer service + Proficient PC skills + Knowledge of Medical Terminology Preferred: + AAS in an accredited MOA program or equivalent + Knowledge of insurance referral process + Basic computer skills; HER, Excel, Microsoft Office + Previous experience in OR Scheduling License/Certification Preferred: + Current drivers license About United Health Services United Health Services is a not-for-profit healthcare system serving more than 500,000 people in Upstate New York’s Southern Tier region.
