Position Title: Surgical Dental Assistant
Location:  5120 S. Broadway Englewood, CO 80113
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM

Key Responsibilities


Assisting During Procedures:

Prepare the treatment room for surgeries and dental procedures.Assist the dentist/oral surgeon/prosthodontist during surgical procedures by handing instruments and materials.Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during procedures.

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for surgery by explaining procedures and answering questions.Position patients appropriately for various dental procedures.Provide post-operative care instructions and assist with patient recovery.

Instrument Management:

Maintain an organized and sterile field during procedures.Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.Inventory and order supplies as needed.

Administrative Tasks:

Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups.Maintain accurate patient records and charts.Assist with billing and insurance processes/questions as necessary.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations.Ensure compliance with all relevant dental and medical standards.

Requirements


High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a dental assistant preferred.At least 1 year of experience in a dental-surgical setting is required.Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) - Denticon experience is preferred but is not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Any required state-specific licenses or certificationsA current CPR certificationX-Ray certificationBilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
