Jacksonville, Florida (USA) Bernhardt Laboratories, an established Sonic Healthcare USA Company, is recruiting for a Full-Time Surgical Pathologist to join our team. Our laboratory is located minutes away from Jacksonville Beach, a short distance to historic St. Augustine and just a couple of hours drive to Savannah, GA to the north and Orlando and Daytona to the south.
Bernhardt Laboratories is a multi-specialty AP and Molecular group serving several outpatient surgery centers, imaging centers, and many specialty practices, including Ob-Gyn and dermatology. We receive specimens from most areas of Florida and wish to grow our offerings.
Requirements:
Leadership experienceBoard Certified in AP/CP by the American Board of PathologySubspecialty Board Certified or eligible by the American Board of PathologyHold or eligible to obtain unrestricted medical licensure in FloridaSurgical pathology with preferred GI Fellowship or Dermatopathology Fellowship, or with extensive training and experience in eitherGynecologic and non-gyn cytology experience a plus, as are surgical pathology and/or cytology fellowshipsAbility to efficiently diagnose a broad range of challenging surgical pathology and cytology casesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to forge strong professional relationships with medical staff, laboratory staff, and administrationA pleasant personality and strong work ethic centered on being a team player and to ease into the culture of the labOccasional client visits for relationship building and quality assuranceProven ability to learn and collaborate with others in a complex, multi-disciplinary environmentDesire to make positive contributions to an active, diverse pathology practicePossible sign-on bonusJacksonville is a wonderful place to live with great weather, people, and outdoor activities.
