HIGHLIGHTS 

Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute’s central laboratory located in Ft. Myers is seeking a board-certified part-time surgical pathologist to join our team. Our state-of-the-art CAP-accredited clinical lab, equipped with the most advanced technologies, is held to the strictest laboratory operations and safety standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Primary responsibilities include sign out of surgical pathology biopsy cases and determine appropriate ancillary testing with an expectation to take on additional responsibilities as determined by workload.

Our CAP accredited laboratory is dedicated to FCS patient, ensuring a seamless and dedicated approach.

Ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of patients in an out-patient clinic setting.  

This is an excellent part-time opportunity to join a dynamic team of pathologists.

REQUIREMENTS 

A graduate of an allopathic US Medical School of a school recognized and approved by the US Office of Education (AMG) and completed at least one year of approved residency training or an international medical school (IMG) and have a valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certificate and completed an approved residency anatomic/clinical pathology.

Licensed or eligible for licensure as Medical Doctor with the State of Florida Board of Medicine; and Board Certified/Eligible in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology.

Position also requires fluency in the English language and the ability to communicate effectively to diverse populations including other physicians, employees, patients and families. 

Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties.
