ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Full Time Surgical Scheduler to support the Vascular Interventional Radiology practice at the Christiana Hospital in Newark.
The Surgical Scheduler will schedule procedures, in collaboration with providers and surgical block time, assuring the availability and proper utilization of resources including time, equipment, and personnel.
Work Schedule:
Monday- Friday: 8am- 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
Schedule all surgical and imaging procedures for CCHS Surgical/ Admitting/ HVIS/OR
Obtain all necessary insurance carrier referrals and/or authorizations for certain procedures.
Coordinates appointments and surgical clearance for patients with other physicians and tasks as required.
Provide non-clinical preoperative instructions, directions, and concerns for surgical patients.
Interact with physicians, physician’s offices, various Christiana Care departments, patients, and patient’s family daily
Supports front desk with patient registration, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and other duties as required.
Performs other related clerical duties as required.

Qualifications:
High school graduate.
Minimum of three years related medical office experience with knowledge of compute scheduling for multiple providers.
