Surgical Scheduler Position Summary

The Surgical Scheduler's primary function is to secure clinical, demographic and financial patient information to accurately pre-register and schedule surgical procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient procedures under the direct supervision of the office supervisor/manager. The Surgical Scheduler pre-registers patients in the EHR system to enable pre-procedure certification; identifies scheduling barriers and implements solutions; has proper clinical/insurance information for patients; assists with scheduling post-procedural care, and additional office-specific tasks as instructed.

Surgical Scheduler Position Requirements

Previous physician office experience required. Experience with electronic health record, medical terminology highly preferred. Experience in insurance verification, medical billing, collection and registration preferred. Familiarity with medical diagnostic procedures preferred. Computer experience and keyboarding (typing) required. High School graduate or equivalent required. Four month on-the-job-training

Monday through Friday, Day Shift
