**Description** **This position is Full Time working at Northwest Houghton Hospital** **$15,000 sign on bonus for qualified Surgical techs!** **Job Duties:** The Surgical Technologist assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed and assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. **Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements** **Education Required:** Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program -OR- 2 years of on-the-job training -OR- 7 years of experience working in the field -OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience" **Licenses/Certifications Required: BLS** (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) " _Northwest Medical Center Houghton is a 52-bed, full-service hospital serving Tucson's east side.
