Job Description

As a Surgical Tech you’ll be responsible for assisting the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.

Reports to the Clinical Coordinator and/or Surgical Services Director.

Requirements   

Surgical Tech 3/12hr shifts with call, late, and holiday rotations.            

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists, possess a current ORT certification, and have 2-4 years of experience.Current BLS from the AHA or ARCAbility to work off shifts and pm shifts, take night and weekend call shifts.Able to cover all specialties daily and on-call.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologists, possess a current ORT certification, and have 2-4 years of experience.Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
