Responsibilities Under the direction of the RN and Surgical Technician, the Student Scrub Tech Trainee assists in patient care activities, prepares for and performs surgical procedures as abilities allow and as the Kansas Nurse Practice Act allows. The Student Scrub Tech trainee reports to the Director or designee. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma/GED Currently enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technology Program BLS Certified Ability to function as a member of a health-care team carrying out the instructions of the RN.
