Job Description Summary• Functions as a scrub person for surgical cases • Assists the RN in providing care to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedure.
Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or GED required. Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program and/or completion of on the job surgical tech. experience required.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with patients. Ability to accurately and promptly communicate with peers, supervisors, and physicians.

SKILLS:

Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support. Annual completion of “Unit Specific” Competency requirements as delineated in unit specific competency tool.
