Responsibilities

As our Surgical Tech at SJHMC, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you. 

The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. 

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilizationNavigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting Adapt to the needs of emergency situationsProvide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

Qualifications
Minimum

Minimum of four (4) years clinical experience as a surgical technologist

Preferred

Surgical Tech Program Graduate

Graduate of accredited surgical technologist program and certified as a surgical technologist

CT - ORT and four (4) years clinical experience
