Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Prepare the procedure room with appropriate instrumentation, equipment and supplies. Demonstrate competence and understanding of sterile technique, sterilization, environmental controls and decontamination of instrument and equipment. Establish and maintain an organized sterile field and assure team members maintain the sterile environment. Assists the surgeon by providing visualization of the surgical wound and assists with wound closure and application of sterile dressings. Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts in an accurate manner.Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
Completion of a Surgical Tech programCST - Through National Board of Surgical TechnologyBLSRequired Knowledge:
Principles of asepsis, case preparation, infection control, basic computer knowledge.
