Job Title: Surgical TechnicianJob Description Join our team as a full-time Operating Room Surgical Technician in Pocatello, ID. Responsibilities + Assist with the nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies. + Prepare, disburse, and manage surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation pre, intra, and post-operatively. + Demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis. + Demonstrate knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines. + Assume responsibility for clinical competence and professional development. + Participate in the responsible management of all departmental resources. + Take on call duties as required by the department. Essential Skills + Aseptic technique + Sterilization + Surgical instrumentation + Medical patient care + BLS Certification + Surgical technology Additional Skills & Qualifications + Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or Certified Surgical Technologist + Current BLS Certification Work Environment Multiple shifts are available, including day and night options. Four 10-hour shifts are from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM or 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, plus rotating on-call duties. Another option is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, plus rotating on-call duties.
