Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Surgical Technician at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

 

Setting up the operating room prior to surgeryStocking surgical suppliesChecking surgical machines and equipmentTransporting patients to and from surgery when necessaryPassing instruments to surgeons during surgeryAssist with minor medical procedure

Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or GED EquivalentYou must meet the NJ requirements under the Surgical Technologist law to be considered for this opportunityBLS is required1-2 years of Cardiac OR experience is strongly preferredMust be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program and a Certified Surgical TechThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year surgical scrub experience which is preferredNational certification is preferredMust be self-starter who works well independentlyTime management and prioritizing skills a mustAbility to multi task
