\t\t\t\t\tJob Title: Sterile Processing TechnicianJob Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This role is focused on ensuring the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper functioning of all surgical instruments and equipment used in the operating room (OR). The position is vital for maintaining a sterile environment and supporting the surgical team by preparing and organizing necessary tools and equipment.Key Responsibilities:Sterilization and Decontamination: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols and guidelines.Equipment Preparation: Assemble and prepare surgical trays and instruments for upcoming procedures, ensuring all items are in optimal condition.Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment, and report any shortages or issues.Quality Control: Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctions or defects.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to infection control and sterilization practices.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Certification in sterile processing or central sterile services (preferred).Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices.Work Environment:This position involves working in a sterile processing department and operating room environment.Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
