Job Summary Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team. Responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. #READ Qualifications Education Requirements 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree Experience At least one year of Surgical Technologist experience in acute care setting Certification and Licensure BLS Certification Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT (New grads must obtain within 6 months of graduation) Required Skills Excellent Communications Skills Excellent Interpersonal Skills Overview Reading Hospital is a Center for Bariatric Surgery, total joints, cardiac, DaVinci Robot, ENT, Ortho, GYN, Breast Stereotaxic program and a Level I Trauma Center caring for 17,000 patients undergoing surgical procedures each year.
