Position Summary:

The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring. 

Work Schedule:

Casual position. Available to offer one day per pay period to work. 8-hour day shifts with rotating start times between 0615-0900. May have one Saturday shift in December.

Required Qualifications:

Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs:  CST (https://nbstsa.org/examinations-cst.html) or NCCT (https://www.ncctinc.com/General/VerifyCertification.aspx) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently validated CPR skills preferred Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
