Eligible for $6,000 sign on bonus, half paid at 6 months and the other half paid after one year of employment.

The Surgical Technologist assists with the nursing care of patients in the operating room by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standard of practice and policies of the hospital and department. The surgical technologist functions as a scrub assistant. Surgical Technicians function under the supervision of a registered nurse at all times. A registered nurse must be available immediately in case of an emergency.

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates the surgeon's needs, including providing instruments, sutures and supplies. Contribute to the patient's safety

Requirements:

Competence in specific clinical experience preferred Knowledge of regulatory agencies and practice (eg. Nurse Practice Act, Infection Control, OSHA, DOH) The Technician may assist in the circulating events in the room or as a third person in a Successful completion from an accredited school or college course for Surgical Technologist. Certification from the Surgical Technology Exam or eligibility to sit for the exam.  Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification required from the American Heart Association

The pay for this position ranges from $37.00 – $42.00 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
