technician program requiredMust be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting NBSTSA or able to obtain CST certification within monthsCertified in Basic Life Support BLSKnowledge Skills and Ability Requirements bull Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field requiredbull Knowledge and practice of basic care and patient safety conceptsbull Application of the principles of asepsis in a manner that provides optimal patient carebull Excellent interpersonalcommunication skillsbull Knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation requiredbull Knowledge of various surgical procedures with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeonbull Maintains certification by participating in
