Job Responsibilities:

The Surgical Technologist CVOR acts as a resource in an Inova Fairfax Medical Campus CVOR. Assists OR Service Leader to ensure unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and JCAHO standards.  Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.  Assists the OR Service Leader in analyzing data, ensuring team adherence to performance standards, and improving processes continuously.  Serves as primary liaison and information resource for specialty.  Oversees the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic, evidence-based environment that produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes.  Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. 

 

Requirements for Consideration:

High School Diploma or GED  2-year experience as a Surgical Technologist n cardiac surgery required Licensed Surgical Technologist via Commonwealth of Virginia required upon Start Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required upon Start One of the following Surgical Technologist certifications required Upon start: (CST) via NBSTSA  Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) via NCCT
