Position Description

The Surgical Technologist Educator is a member of an interdisciplinary team and acts as a leader in Surgical Services, a subject matter expert, educator, coach, change agent, researcher, and consultant.  The individual must also be knowledgeable of regulatory standards, surgical procedure and equipment.   The Surgical Technologist Educator may also support other technician positions, surgical technologist students, SPD interns and Nurse Residents as applicable. 

Position Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. Four (4) years of operating room experience Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Current BLS Card (CPR) (not required for surgery scheduling)

PREFERRED: 

Associate Degree in health related field or Bachelor’s degree in health-related field of study Central Sterile Certification with Two (2) years of experience in Sterile processing
