Responsibilities Include:

        Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients during the peri-operative period         Observes patient upon admission to OR         Helps plan nursing intervention based on Plan of Care derived from knowledge of the patients' health status and knowledge of the procedure to be performed         Scrubs, sets up table according to OR standards         Maintains sterile technique         Provides for patient safety and comfort         Assists surgeon, anticipates surgeon's needs, and establishes appropriate priorities         Handles instruments, supplies and equipment properly         Performs activities that foster a culture of safety within the department and organization         Identifies safety/risk reduction strategies and communicates these to department director         Assumes additional responsibilities as directed

 

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required Certification as an Operating Room Surgical Technician required (CST with NBSTSA) Prior experience working in an Operating Room setting within an acute care hospital preferred

The pay for this position ranges from $37.00 – $43.00 per hour/per year.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
