Surveillance Operator
Description

Protects company assets which include all monies, team members and property. Ensure that all statutory, regulatory, and company requirements are followed. Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitors activities of guests and team members on the property via the closed circuit television system for criminal activity and/or violations of State regulations, Hard Rock's Internal Controls and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Generates detailed incident reports of any violations of the Gaming Control Act, Internal controls or Company SOP’s, suspicious activity, criminal activity, medical emergencies or areas of concern observed during observation. Reports incidents accordingly at the time of observation or as required.

Works closely with all internal departments as well as outside agencies.

Demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of the surveillance and casino operation before assuming this position

Maintains an exceptional attendance record.

Reports any concerns of the department or shift to the Shift mgr.

Participates in regular training provided by the Shift Mgr and or Lead Operators. Completes proficiency tests as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.

B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.

C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)

High School diploma general education (GED)

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Must possess excellent communication, organizational skills.

Hard Rockers must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

Gaming License required.

Casino systems and MS applications including Word and Excel.

Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people.

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Training

All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
