Surveillance Operator - Borgata

THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Operator to protect the integrity of all table games, sports book, slots, count rooms, cage, keno, cashiers, and other related areas.  Video document all irregularities/deviations from normal activities and alert Supervisors when any irregularities or deviations occur. 

THE STARTING RATE: $22.00 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Maintains strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigationsOperates Close Circuit Television (CCTV)/digital recording programs to conduct surveillanceUses computer and associated hardware to complete documentationWrites and prepares daily reports and logsReviews video and documents specific slot and table game jackpots, guest complaints, and variances in all departmentsConducts routine surveillance filming, reviews videos, and completes documentation to detect suspicious activity throughout casino and gaming areasMaintains evidence by saving video filesMonitors Table Games, Casino Cage, Soft Count, and Slot areas and personnel as well as employees off the casino floorTestifies in court as a representative for the company as necessaryInterfaces with departments throughout the propertyCooperates with the DGE and other outside agenciesAttends all company sponsored training classesRemains current of all activities that threaten the security of Borgata hotel and casino.Monitors assigned areas on a continuous basis to ensure complete coverage.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of Surveillance, Security and/or Table Games experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Detailed knowledge of Table Games, Slots, Race & Sports Book and Casino Cage proceduresKnowledge of advantage play systems and cheating methodsDetailed knowledge of local gaming regulationsProficient in basic math without use of a calculatorAbility to distinguish colorsProfessional appearance and demeanor.Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsBasic working knowledge of various computer technology and software to include Microsoft Office applicationsEffectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

40-hour weekly schedule with possibility of overtime as needed by the departmentShift assignment/days off are as needed by the department
