Job Purpose or Objective: The Surveillance Technician performs installation and maintenance of low voltage surveillance and access control systems at Choctaw Nation Casinos and other locations. You will report to the Surveillance Technician Supervisor.
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Work Location: Onsite in Durant, OK
This position requires you to be on call 24/7, it typically is a rotating on call schedule (1 week every two months).
You must be able to pass an extensive background check.

Primary Tasks:
You will complete surveillance work orders for Choctaw Casinos and other Choctaw Nation entities. Perform routine maintenance on existing surveillance equipment (video management system, video storage system, cameras, servers, and other infrastructure). Install new surveillance (cameras, cable, and configuration) and access control equipment (controllers, readers, panels, magnetic locks, rex, PIR, and mortise) following governing standards. Maintain equipment inventory documentation, documenting when & where equipment is deployed and stored, and make sure all equipment has proper tagging information. You will educate and provide training to surveillance operation associates on using new equipment and software. Travel within the Choctaw Nation (10 ½ counties) and is required to stay overnight and after hours to complete projects promptly. Perform low voltage cable terminations (RJ45, minicoms, and coax). Operate lift equipment and maneuver from over 30 feet in the air. Understand the Minimum Internal Control Standards and Tribal Internal Control Standards as they relate to the Surveillance Department and ensure all installed equipment meets minimum requirements. Follow established operating procedures of the Choctaw Nation, Choctaw Gaming Commission, Choctaw Casino, and local management. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Technical certification for systems being used or obtain within one year. Experience with hand tools and basic maintenance, networking, and computer applications Communicate both orally and in writing. Must be available on call, after hours, if a site has problems with the surveillance system and needs technical assistance. Ability to lift 50LBS, work in tight spaces, and is comfortable working on elevated platforms or ladders.
