Job Title: Survey CAD Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing detailed drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using Civil3D. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting Lidar data into usable formats and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all drawings.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes using Civil3D.Prepare computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures.Review all work to ensure complete and accurate drawings are provided to engineers.Convert Lidar data into Civil3D files for manipulation and use.Manage Lidar surveying drone software and data input.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician using AutoCAD, with an emphasis on civil type drawings.Proficient with AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.Knowledge of GIS software.Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.Strong communication skills.Ability to learn quickly.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of a high school diploma or technical school training.Experience with Trimble equipment.Knowledgeable about LIDAR and converting LIDAR data from LP360 to Civil3D.Work Environment

You will work in an office environment with a possible flexible schedule. Our team consists of about 25 employees in an engineering firm. We are a growing company with large projects and a family atmosphere where people work closely together. This is a 12-month contract-to-hire position, offering great insurance and benefits once permanent, along with 10 days of PTO and a flexible schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
