Job Description
Prepares and produces survey documents as directed. Performs project research, reviews plats, calculations, maintains records, and prepares CAD drawings, survey sketches, and legal descriptions. Familiar with a variety of survey concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, maps, and documents.
ResponsibilitiesProvide field crew support when necessaryUtilize CAD and survey computer skillsOperational knowledge of Bentley OpenSite/OpenRoads/Microstation/AudoCADPossess working knowledge of survey and civil engineering practicesProcess survey data from data collectorsConduct topographic, design, boundary, and construction surveysCompute construction stakeout and earthwork calculationsPerform related surveying services in support of engineering workEssential SkillsHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in construction or land development surveys preferredAbility to read and interpret engineering plans, maps, and documentsKnowledge of Bentley OpenSite/OpenRoads/Microstation/AudoCADProficiency in CAD and survey computer skillsWorking knowledge of survey and civil engineering practicesAdditional Skills & QualificationsCollege graduate with a related degree and less experience will be consideredKnowledge of topographic, design, boundary, and construction surveysWork Environment
The office environment consists of 12 employees, with an additional 4 in the field, and 6 licensed professionals. There are ample growth and mentorship opportunities. The team operates in a family-oriented environment, with most employees having tenures over 10 years. The company boasts job security with a healthy workload and is not heavily impacted by economic fluctuations. Engineers have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including high-profile equestrian projects and eminent domain work with the DOT and Palm Beach County. The dress code is business casual.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
