Job Title: Survey CAD Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Columbia, MD. The ideal candidate will report to their supervisor daily to discuss the tasks for the day. Responsibilities will include both field and office work, depending on the daily requirements. Fieldwork involves setting survey controls, running traverse and level runs, performing survey data collection, and property corner recovery. Office work includes processing survey data in CAD, ROW/deed research, plat preparation, and property line retracement.

ResponsibilitiesSet survey controls and run traverse and level runs.Perform survey data collection and process survey data in CAD.Conduct right of way (ROW)/deed research and plat preparation.Investigate deeds and plats, and recover property corners.Retrace property lines.Report to the supervisor daily and discuss the work for the day.Essential Skills1-5 years of experience as a Survey CAD Technician.Proficiency in MicroStation, Topcon, and Trimble.Strong communication skills and punctuality.Willingness to learn and grow within the surveying industry.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates in Land Surveying preferred but not required.Work Environment

The work environment will vary between field and office settings. Fieldwork is conducted in various counties of Maryland, with a focus on the greater Baltimore area. Office hours are typically from 8 am to 5 pm. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $72000.00

DCI offers tuition reimbursement and 50% employer paid health, dental and vision insurance premiums. The company also pays 50% HSA contributions, life and short term disability insurance as well as a 401k plan with company matching. In addition to their paid holidays and PTO, they provide mileage reimbursement for distances travelled beyond regular commute mileage from the office to a job site.
