OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is seeking career and quality minded Survey CAD Technician for challenging projects including all types of Boundary, GPS, Easement/Right of Way, Topographic and As-Built Surveys. Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing survey related research, performing survey calculations, and creating final survey deliverables. Successful candidate will work under direct supervision of a Land Surveyor. This is a full-time position based out of our Chamblee (Atlanta Metro), GA office. The typical pay range for this position is $19.18 - $24.23 per hour. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Perform under close direction, survey related research using online resources or physical county records, analysis and reduction of field notes, and work with survey coordinate systems and datums. In a support role, apply survey standards to prepare drawings, descriptions and exhibits on projects with limited complexity. Complete survey drafting tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D for simple property descriptions, monumented land survey plats, topographic and contour maps. Assist in preparation of field packages. Assist in preparation of legal description and exhibits. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of one (1) year of land survey office/field experience. A minimum of one (1) year working with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Microsoft Office applications required High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Knowledge of survey related research. Basic understanding of survey concepts and methodologies such as boundary, GPS, easements, right-of-way, construction layout, design, plan & profile, as-built, land survey plats, topographic maps, and property legal descriptions. Attention to detail, organized, customer focused. Work independently and as a part of a team. Work effectively on tight deadlines when necessary. Follow schedule, track progress for timesheet and project budget reporting. Possess good written and oral communications skills.
