Survey Crew Chief - Bozeman, MT

Engineering and Architecture firm in Bozeman, Montana is looking for a Survey Crew Chief to join their growing team. This 40-year-old firm covers a variety of projects to include commercial, industrial, multifamily, academic and clinical projects.  

Survey Crew Chief will conduct boundary surveys for commercial and residential properties, ALTA/ACSM Lant Title Surveys, pre-engineering surveys, floodplain surveys and construction staking for highways, large commercial structures, high end residential homes, and various commercial sites.  Survey Crew Chief must be experienced at reading construction documents, right-of-way plans and legal documents pertaining to property boundaries as well as understand regulations in our region. 

This is a full time, direct hire career position which requires working in the field and office. Some travel around the Bozeman area and surrounding states is necessary in a company vehicle. 

Requirements: A minimum of 5 years of experience post-graduation from an accredited University.  Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS).  Travel will be required throughout Montana and to neighboring states.  Must be able to work alone with little supervision, as most field surveys will be performed solo.  Maturity and self-confidence to engage with clients and colleagues.  Local experience and licensure in MT preferred but not required.  Proficiency in Trimble Survey Instruments, Trimble Access, and AutoDesk Civil 3D.  Program knowledge in Trimble Business Center beneficial.  Experience with UAV systems beneficial but not required.
