Survey Crew Chief
Job Title: Survey Crew ChiefJob Description We're looking for a versatile surveyor who can effectively operate as an independent crew while helping establish our Florida operations. The initial focus will be predominantly field-based, where having a 'jack of all trades' skill set is crucial - someone equally comfortable with construction and topographic surveys. Responsibilities + Conduct construction and topographic surveys across various locations in Florida. + Operate independently as a field surveyor with minimal supervision. + Establish field operations and assist in developing the Florida operations. + Transition from field operations to a leadership role over time. + Travel regularly for field assignments, typically not exceeding one-week durations. + Perform office responsibilities, including data analysis and reporting, when not in the field. Essential Skills + 4 years of party chief experience. + Comprehensive technical proficiency in surveying, topography, construction staking, GPS, and CAD. + Experience with piping, topographic surveys, civil 3D, and total station. + Ability to operate independently as a standalone survey crew. + Proficiency in using survey equipment and software platforms. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2 years of CAD experience preferred (civil 3D). Work Environment The work environment includes a 70/30 field to office ratio initially. Regular travel up to one-week deployments across Florida is expected. A company vehicle will be provided based on workload metrics; initially, mileage reimbursement will be offered if a vehicle is not provided. The role requires expertise in using various survey equipment and software platforms. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
