Responsibilities
Direct the activities of a survey crew in the performance of Boundary/ALTA surveys, Topographic surveys, Construction and post construction surveys, and transportation surveys. Maintain proper care of survey equipment Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elementsMaintain documentation of all phases of survey workPerform public records researchUse public records in execution of survey field workSkills and Abilities
Proficient in reading, understanding, and evaluating the significance of survey, right-of-way, engineering and architectural drawings with respect to each survey projectProficient in operation of total station with electronic data collecting capabilityProficient in operation of GPS equipmentProficient in operation of auto level equipmentProficient in field survey methods and techniquesAbility to perform tasks independently and to assign and review work of others Proficient in fundamentals of geometry and trigonometryExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Team oriented with strong capability to work independentlyDesire for continued growth in the Land Surveying professionQualifications
1+ years of progressive professional land surveying experienceHigh school diploma or GEDAssociate or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying/Engineering or related field helpful, but not requiredExperience with AutoCAD Civil3D desirable, but not required Experience with Microstation, Inroads and OpenRoads desirable, but not requiredExperience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) desirable, but not requiredValid driver’s licenseMust be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.x
