At CESO, a Survey Field Technician assists with a wide range of residential, commercial, retail, and public projects both locally and regionally.Primary Responsibilities Assist in the collection of survey data Trains on and operates survey equipment such as total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, automatic levels, and scanners.Acquire knowledge in field note taking Assist in the completion of field surveys Assists with various types of construction surveys Assists with boundary and topographic surveys. Learn to read maps and plans in support of survey tasks.Assist crew chief in other duties as neededLocal and regional travel as neededPosition RequirementsHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.Valid Driver’s License required. Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentEmployee is regularly required to: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and occasionally crawl, climb or balance.Employee will regularly use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Employee may be exposed to varying work environments including extreme heat or cold and adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
