Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our team. This role involves overseeing a two-person crew, conducting construction staking, topographic boundary, and ALTA surveys. The ideal candidate will provide on-the-job training, conduct daily site visits, and maintain survey job files while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field staff to support project objectives.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and train a two-person crew.Conduct daily site visits and ensure accurate data collection.Organize and maintain survey job files.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to address survey-related challenges.Follow safety protocols and procedures for survey personnel.Essential SkillsAt least 6+ years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.Proficient in conducting construction staking and ALTA surveys.Ability to manage a two-person crew effectively.Experience with GPS and Microsoft Office.Strong organizational and communication skills.Valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Total Station and Trimble GPS.Knowledge of land surveying, topographic surveys, and easement processes.Work Environment

This position involves working on-site 90% of the time, overseeing a two-person crew. The company offers a company vehicle, though there may be times when personal transportation is required with mileage reimbursement provided. The company is located in Aurora and has about 50 employees, including a survey team of 18 members. The role involves primarily construction staking through the spring, with a transition to more ALTA and boundary surveys. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
