The Survey Project Manager will lead projects, planning, scheduling and data development, providing oversight and reporting for  transportation infrastructure projects. Project types include route surveys utilizing conventional, photogrammetry, mobile, aerial and terrestrial lidar,  right-of-way maps, construction surveys, horizontal and vertical control, and state land surveying services.  You will work with cross-functional teams to develop detailed deliverables, establish, and improve client relationships and growth, secure repeat business within a client base and assist in the growth of new business opportunities with Department of Transportation (DOT) and local municipalities throughout Texas.

Responsibilities Develop business opportunities within the Transportation and Rail industry that includes state DOTs, transit authorities, cities, or counties within Virginia.Develop teaming opportunities with other geospatial and engineering firms in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.Facilitate scoping meetings with clients to determine needs analysis and project requirements. Direct and collaborate with survey, photogrammetry and lidar teams across all project tasks. Analyze project resource needs and work with Team Leaders to create detailed scopes, budgets and schedules for projects. Develop and communicate work breakdown structure to Team LeadersEnsure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the agreed scope, schedule, budget and client standards.Collaborate with senior management to resolve schedule and budget problems as they arise and implement corrective action plans when deviations from budgets and/or schedules are evident. Facilitate client-facing change management and provide on-going communication throughout the project. Conduct project close-out meetings and document lessons learned.  Qualifications Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) License in Texas preferred, SIT certification required; multi-state licensure a plus.Minimum 10 years of experience in the Survey/Geospatial industry Minimum 3 years of experience in management of survey/geospatial transportation projects.Previous experience with TxDOT projects required.Professional experience driving new business development and delivery oversight for geospatial projects within the transportation industry.  Proficiency in surveying techniques, geospatial technologies (e.g. Lidar, Photogrammetry) and industry-standard software (e.g. MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center). Willingness to undergo a pre-employment verification and drug screening. Must be able to travel 40% to client sites, conferences and other Woolpert related functions. Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients and industry leaders. Strong technical proficiency required, including Microsoft Office products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals. Adaptability and responsiveness to industry changes as well as internal initiatives.
