Job Description
A Survey Technician with expertise in construction computation is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and processing survey data to support construction and land development projects. This role involves drafting detailed survey drawings, performing complex calculations, and collaborating with various project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and precision.
ResponsibilitiesGather field data using surveying instruments.Process and analyze data to create accurate maps and plans.Use AutoCAD and Carlson software to draft detailed survey drawings, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and as-built drawings.Design and layout construction projects, ensuring precision and compliance with specifications.Perform calculations related to construction projects, such as volume computations, earthwork calculations, and site grading.Ensure that all computations are accurate and align with project requirements.Work closely with field crews to ensure data accuracy and project efficiency.Communicate with engineers, architects, and construction managers to provide necessary survey data and insights.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD for creating and editing detailed drawings and plans.Proficiency in Carlson Software specialized for land surveying and civil engineering tasks.Strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques.Ability to interpret and apply construction plans and specifications.High level of accuracy in data collection and computation.Meticulous in drafting and reviewing survey documents.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during surveying and construction projects.Additional Skills & QualificationsInnovative in finding solutions to complex surveying challenges.Work Environment
The work environment includes both fieldwork and office settings.
