We are seeking a motivated and skilled Survey CAD Technician to join our civil engineering consulting firm located in Herndon, VA. With over 34 years of experience, we specialize in land development projects for both residential and commercial clients. Our Survey Division leverages the latest in survey technology, including GPS surveying equipment and digital electronic data collectors, to ensure precise and efficient results.

Responsibilities:Collaborate with other team members to support the survey departmentProcess field data for production of plats and plansPrepare cutsheets supporting construction stakeoutPerform deed, plat, and record drawing researchPrepare boundary composite maps and property descriptionsProcess 3-D point cloud data to create surfaces and contoursMaintain company CAD drafting standardsPrepare existing conditions plans and exhibitsPrepare and format ALTA survey documentsPrepare easement plats and descriptionsPrepare As-Built drawingsTop Skills & Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a Survey CAD TechnicianWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson Survey softwareExperience with surveying and land development projectsExperience with deed researchPreferred Skills & Qualifications:Field experience moving into the office roleAspiration to become a Licensed Surveyor (not required, but a plus)Work Environment:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00
